# Sources and how pages are checked

## Official sources

- **EUR-Lex**: Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 (the AI Act) and Regulation (EU) 2026/1744 (the amendment), in all EU languages.
- **European Commission, AI Act Service Desk**: implementation timeline, guidelines, codes of practice, the consolidated articles and the Compliance Checker.
- **Germany**: federal law gazette and the Bundesnetzagentur.
- **Ireland**: Houses of the Oireachtas and the Irish Statute Book.
- **Romania**: Monitorul Oficial and the national authorities, when a national law is published.

## Reuse terms and attribution

- EU content: reuse is allowed under Commission Decision 2011/833/EU; Commission content is licensed under CC BY 4.0 unless stated otherwise. Attribution: “Source: European Union, [year]”, with a link to the page.
- Oireachtas content: reuse under CC BY 4.0. Attribution: “Source: Houses of the Oireachtas”, with a link.
- German federal laws and official decrees are official works without copyright protection (§ 5 UrhG).

## How pages are made and checked

1. Each page is written with AI from the official sources named at its foot.
2. Each date, article number and figure is checked against those sources.
3. The page shows the law version and the day of that check. When a source changes, the page is checked again and gets the new date.
4. Each language version has its own check date.
